LBC office loses P3,400 cash to robbers

TWO armed men robbed an LBC freight office in Ulas, Davao City on Tuesday afternoon.

The men carted away P3,400 cash, according to Leoni Opalla, 26, a customer associate of LBC.

Opalla told the Talomo police that two men pretended to be customers at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday. One of the men served as lookout, while the other declared a hold-up and took the cash from Opalla.

Rosminda Ongco, 45, resident of Bucana, said she saw the men enter the LBC office, adding that Opalla handed the money for fear.

SPO4 Policarpio Ballenas of the Talomo police station is conducting further investigation to identify the men behind the heist.

Meanwhile, a fire razed Sun Foam Corporation at South Bay, Barangay Lapu-lapu, Agdao, after their main electrical circuit exploded around 3:50 a.m. Thursday.

The fire was controlled around 5:50 a.m. by the Bureau of Fire Protection, Davao Volunteer Firefighter Brigade, Davao Youth Fire Volunteer and 911 Fire Volunteers.

At least P10 million worth of property was damaged in the fire. (AD)
