Group funds 15 water wells in Pampanga village

ANGELES CITY -- Officers and members of the Mad Dog Motorcycle Club (MDMC) of Angeles recently turned over a check worth P215,086 to Mayor Edgardo Pamintuan to fund construction of 15 units of deep water wells in Barangay Anunas, this city.

Pamintuan received the donation from Bryan Hummer, vice president of MDMC Angeles, in simple ceremonies held at the City Hall.

Hummer said this is the biggest project the group has made since the founding of MDMC in the Philippines in 1994.

"We have been conducting charity works as part of our program and this is just a simple manifestation of our desire to help the less fortunate citizens in the Philippines," Hummer said.

For his part, Pamintuan acknowledged MDMC's effort in assisting the City Government in providing and delivering services to the Angelenos.

"This is indeed a big assistance for our constituents in Barangay Anunas as they can now enjoy potable drinking water in the confines of their homes as soon as these water pumps are constructed," the mayor said.

Also present during the check turnover was barangay captain Carlito Ganzon of Anunas, who also expressed gratitude for MDMC's donation.

According to Hummer, MDMC is a bike club with a diverse, interesting, and "no nonsense attitude" to riding. Its members are acquired by invitation only. A club for Harley Davidson and large bore cruisers, the group only accepts bikers who are dedicated to free spirited riding and brotherhood.

"MDMC Angeles was formed in October 2006 and was setup to provide a community for the growing number of big bike riders in Northern Luzon," Hummer said. (Rey G. Navales)
