NBI Central Luzon has new chief

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO- Lawyer Ricardo Diaz is the new National Bureau of Investigation Central Luzon Regional Office (NBI-Celro) Director.

He replaced lawyer Rustico Vigilia last Monday in a brief and simple turn-over ceremony at the said bureau's reconstructed home at the Pampanga provincial Capitol complex.

Vigilia was reassigned to the NBI Cordillera Administrative Region's Office in Baguio City.

Diaz, a former topnotch official at the NBI's headquarters in Manila plans to further enhance the administrative and investigative services of the bureau.

He is set to improve the clearance application facilities at the bureau's office.

It can be recalled that the NBI-Celro has been returned from Clark Special Economic Zone back to its original office at the provincial capitol compound just recently.

Diaz, a Bicolano, rose from the ranks of the NBI hierarchy. He has served the bureau for many years, earning him numerous citations and commendations on his career.

He was previously assigned at the Counter-Terrorism Unit of the Bureau's main office and handled the Ampatuan case before he was assigned in Central Luzon. (DPL)
