Thomson Reuters, PSE to help RP companies with investor relations

THE Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE), the country’s sole stock exchange, and Thomson Reuters, the global leader in investor relations solutions, yesterday hosted a signing ceremony to celebrate their collaboration to promote best practices in investor relations among Philippine listed firms.

Under the terms of the letter of intent, PSE and Thomson Reuters will provide instructional and marketing initiatives to educate listed companies on the key principles needed to develop effective investor relations management programs.

“We welcome this agreement with Thomson Reuters, which is expected to enhance best practices of Philippine listed firms through available global solutions and help establish PSE as a potential leader in promoting investor relations best practices,” PSE president and chief executive officer Val Antonio B. Suarez said.

“We believe this collaboration will benefit not only listed companies, but also the overall market by attracting more foreign capital into the Philippines,” said Rainer Fuchsluger, managing director of Thomson Reuters in the Philippines.

“The Philippine Stock Exchange is paving the way for other exchanges in Asia by recognizing the importance of providing investor relations services for public companies,” said Eric Frank, president, investment and advisory, Thomson Reuters. (PR)
