Comelec lists 18T new regular, 61T youth voters,

THE Commission on Elections (Comelec) initially listed 18,085 new regular voters and 61,919 youth voters as of August 15, 2010 for the October 25 elections.

The registration for regular voters was held from August 4 to 13 while the youth registration was held August 6 to 15.

Based on the record of the Comelec Provincial Office, Bago City got the highest number of new registrants with 1,681.

Other towns and cities showed the following number of registrants: Cadiz City - 1,318; Escalante City - 660; Himamaylan - 468; Kabankalan City - 1,236; La Carlota City - 243; Sagay City - 1,278; San Carlos City - 813; Silay City - 307; Sipalay City - 353, Talisay City - 735; Victorias City - 460; Binalbagan - 586;Calatrava - 1,021; Candoni - 137; Cauayan -354; Don Salvador Benedicto - 196; E.B. Magalona - 419; Hinigaran - 688; Hinobaan - 629; Ilog - 580; Isabela - 930; La Castellana - 386;Murcia - 150; Ponetevdra - 384; Moises Padilla - 597; Manapla - 553; Pulupandan - 81; San Enrique - 223; Toboso - 512 and Valladolid - 161.

For the youth registrants, Sagay City got the highest number with 3,665.

Among those who had their registrations revalidated, there were 2,391 regular voters who showed up at the different city and municipal Comelec offices province-wide while 791 had their names changed as of August 13. (TED)
