2 boys injured in vehicular accident

TWO boys suffered injuries after they figured in a vehicular accident in separate areas in Cagayan de Oro City on Thursday.

One of the victims, Raul Madrona, 6, a resident of Barangay 31, Cagayan de Oro City, was playing at the roadside with his friends on Thursday morning when the incident happened.

It was learned that Madrona ran toward the highway and was hit by a speeding Crosswind with plate number CTB-779. The driver of the vehicle who fled after the incident was not yet identified.

The boy suffered bruises, contusions

and wounds on his forehead. He was rushed to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) where he is still under observation as of this posting Friday.

Another victim, Annie Efamonte, 7, a resident of Agora, Lapasan, was also hit on Thursday afternoon in Corrales Extension.

Efamonte was about to go to school when the incident happened. She disembarked from a motorcycle but was hit by another motorcycle driven by Jutherford Sullano while crossing the street.

Efamonte suffered wounds on her forehead and eyebrows, aside from the bruises on her body. She was also rushed to NMMC and is still under observation.

The driver of the motorela voluntarily surrendered to the Roads and Traffic Administration office. (SVB)
