THE Sangguniang Kabataan Federation (SKF) of Baguio City headed by Councilor and SKF president Gloria Ysabel de Vera shall conduct two activities in line with the Baguio Day celebration.
A "Battle of the Bands" is scheduled on August 31 at 5 p.m. at the Baguio Convention Center.
De Vera said they were tapped by the Baguio Day celebration committee to implement the activity for the youth.
"We are enjoining those interested to please visit our office at city hall to register for the said Battle of the Bands," she said.
The activity is open to Baguio-based bands with members aged 22 years and below. The registration will be until Aug. 23 at Councilor de Vera's office at the City Hall.
On September 10-11, 2010, the SKF, in cooperation with the public high school teachers, will conduct a Taekwondo tournament.
The weigh-in and registration will be on September 10, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Pines City National High School (PCNHS). The competition will be held the next day at the Baguio City National High School (BCNHS).
The event is open to all qualified high schoolers and elementary pupils.
De Vera is encouraging the participation of the youth in the events, either as participants or spectators, along with other scheduled activities for the Baguio Day celebration. (PR)
