THE Davao Doctors College (DDC) played host to the two-day JEWM-Mayor Sara and Vice Mayor Rody Kadayawan Chess Open Tournament that opened Saturday.
The National Chess Federation of the Philippines (NCFP)-sanctioned meet stakes cash prizes and trophies to the top two players. The next two placers will also receive cash prizes and medals.
Special awards will also be given away to the best players in elementary, high school and college as well as the top executive, employee and senior performers.
Participants came from all over Mindanao. (MLSA)
