CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga -- A businesswoman from Laguna province was the latest victim of the so-called "Bukas Kotse" gang.
A belated report reaching the police camp said a sports utility vehicle of Teresita Aglehan, 49, of Milagros, San Pedro, Laguna that was parked along a road at Barangay Sindalan in the City of San Fernando was ransacked by the suspects.
Aglehan, together with her friend Eleonor Acosta and her driver, took her lunch at Sylvia Restaurant before the incident.
When the three came back, they noticed that the rear window glass of the vehicle was broken.
Two bags containing personal belongings, 10 checks with undetermined amount and P30,000 cash were carted away by the suspects.
The victims immediately reported the incident to Community Police Center, which is located just a few meters from the area.
The suspects, however, were able to escape.
City of San Fernando Police Chief Superintendent Eden Ugale has ordered his men to conduct police visibility in order to prevent similar incidents. (Ric Sapnu)
