CEBU has done it again! Being on national focus in the realm of civic clubs, in practicural the Inner Wheel Club of the Philippines (IWCP).
For Rotary Club of Mandaue Inner Wheel, club president Ludie Kriekenbeek, it was the crowning glory of the her years with Rotary. She was installed a national president of the IWCP at the formal rites held in Traders Hotel Manila. Beaming proudly by her side, was husband, Bill K.
The induction honors were done by past national president Ely Jovellanos de Veyra.
Tracing the enviable track record of the IWCP, they continue to be one of the top international organizations, committed to community service, especially in the underprivileged sector—women and children in particular.
The theme—supported by clubs and districts undert he leadership of local and national officers and directors—is Commit with Conviction, Compassion and Consistency. Such a lofty theme, don’t you think?
Incidentally, civic leader and the moving force of her own educational scholarship foundation is another IWCP past president is Amparito Lhullier, who deserved to receive a token of appreciation for being a long-time benefactress of the club.
This was on the club’s 60th year gig.
Kudos to these two women, whose stars shine bright in the community service sector!

At least three times a year, Dr. Jose “Bebe” Barba takes off from his ultra-lucrative medical practice in New York, USA, to bask in the pristine, laid-back beaches of his native Toledo City. Many times in the past, Dr. Bebe hosted events for his grade school classmates (such as a reunion); likewise, for his classmates at the medical school of Cebu Velez College.
