CEBU will host the Philippine Volleyball Referees Congress on Sept. 17 and 18 at the Cebu International Convention Center (CICC).
This will be the first time Cebu will host the PVRC, which will be attended by local referees and those from Dumaguete, Siquijor and Bohol. It is held in coordination with the GUV Cup and the Cebu Volleyball Association.
“Only those who have taken up the referees course last 2008-2009 can attend the congress since that course is a pre-requisite of the congress,” said Nona Catipay, the vice president for Eastern and Central PVRC.
Catipay said they expect 30 referees to attend the event.
“Should they pass the extensive exams, we will have more national referees by the end of the congress,” said Catipay.
