EDWIN Cabalquinto captured the masters class A title in the just-concluded Mayor Sara Z. Duterte 25th Kadayawan Sports Festival Dama Tournament at the Osmeña Park.
Cabalquinto pocketed a cash prize of P3,000 while runner-up Romeo go received P2,000 and third-placer Melecio Manimog, Jr. settled for P1,000.
Bonie Cerna, who placed fourth, went home with P700 in the dama tournament presented by the city government of Davao through the Sports Development Division of the City Mayor's Office (SDD-CMO).
Arnel Nudalo pocketed the class B crown over Alex Bentayas, Vicente Parajes and Veronico Casado, who finished in the next three spots. They received P2,000, P1,300, P1,000 and P750, respectively.
In class C, Nico Madelo won the top purse of P1,500 while Hilixis Sigurado got the runner-up prize of P1,000 and Francisco Bodalo earned P700. Fourth-placer Pronie Cardio did not go home empty-handed with P500. (MLSA)
