Health workers deployed to Mt. Province

BONTOC, Mt. Province -- The Rural Health Team Placement Program (RHTPP) of the Department of Health-Cordillera has deployed a nutritionist, one medical technologist, a midwife and three dentists in the province.

Claudio Pancho, head of Mt. Province Provincial Health Team, said the RHTPP is a program that provides technical assistance to local government units belonging to the fourth or fifth class municipalities.

Pancho said these health workers will be deployed in the different towns of the province where their services are most needed.

Nutritionist Tyzine Sagayo is assigned in the town of Paracelis while midwife Janet Ambas is deployed in the town of Natonin particularly in barangay Tonglayan where there has no midwife. Medical technologist Jade Badongen is assigned in the town of Sabanga and Barlig at 15 days per municipality.

The dentists are also deployed in two places, each spending 15 days a month in one area. Dr. Glory Besoy is assigned in the towns of Sagada for the first 15 days of the month and Sabangan for the second 15 days; Dr. Yolanda Tiong covers the towns of Bontoc for the first 15 days and Barlig from the 16th to end of the month. Dr. Jeffrey Dulnuan is assigned in Paracelis for the first 15 days of the month and Tinglayan, Kalinga for the next 15 days. (PR)
