THREE persons with warrants of arrest were collared by elements of the Kabankalan City police Tuesday.

Police Senior Inspector Nerito Lobrido, spokesperson of the Kabankalan PNP, identified the suspects as Joselito Tormis, 42, of Barangay Villamonte, Bacolod City, Romeo Palec, of Barangay Tagoc, and Rosalinda Tormis, 60, of Barangay Tabugon.

Joselito and Rosalinda were simultaneously apprehended by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Henry Arles of the Regional Trial Court - Branch 61 for the crime of theft, with bail recommended at P20,000 each for their temporary liberty.

Lobrido added that the two suspects are presently detained at the lock up cell of the Kabankalan PNP for their failure to post their bail.

On the other hand, Kabankalan Police Chief Superintendent Calixto Mabugat reported that Palec was collared for violation of Republic Act 9262 or the anti-violence against women and their children act.

He said the suspect was arrested by virtue of the warrant of arrest issued by Judge Oscar Dinopo of the Regional Trial Court Branch 24 of Koronadal City, South Cotabato who fixed the bail at P12, 000 bail for the suspect's temporary liberty.

Police provincial director Manuel Felix also lauded Mabugat and his men for their recent accomplishments against wanted persons in the city.
