THE Calinan National High School (CNHS)-A and Dr. Jovito S. Francisco Elementary School (DJFES) captured titles at the close of the Kadayawan sa Dabaw Sepak and Sipa Tournament recently.
CNHS-A, coached by Donato Cabico, emerged champion in the sepak takraw event with the services of Joel Liabton, Ederick John Ragay, Arturo Sasuman and James Lagazo.
The Joel Cantos-mentored Lupon-B placed second while Jesus J. Soriano National High School (JJSNHS)-A came in third and JJSNHS fourth.
In elementary sipa, unheralded DJSFES bested Wangan Elementary School, Barangay Maa and Bolton Elementary School-B that occupied the next three spots.
Christian Jann Altovar, Sherwin Centie Mercado, Roniel Sendiong and Richard Jay Sialongo bannered DJSFES in the tournament presented by the city government of Davao through the Sports Development Division of the City Mayor's Office. (MLSA)
