Bosch's Car care basics highlighted in clinic

CARS lined up at the SM City Rambakan Drive as Bosch Car Service (BCS) opened the free car clinic road show in Baguio City.

Full diagnostic check is ongoing until Sunday as part of the BCS commitment to safety and quality car care continues in this part of the country.

Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) accredited mechanics lined at the four stations ready to assess car needs with Bosch's Jay Cortez providing advice to motorists.

Corporate Communication Manager Kaycee Crisostomo briefed media at Camp John Hay on the history of the German company and its mission and vision focused on quality care and service.

BCS has helped produce over 5,500 skilled automotive mechanics from its partnership with Robert Bosch, Inc., local subsidiary of global automotive technology leader Robert Bosch GmbH.

The course graduates were trained and certified via the German company's Hari ng Talyer (King of the Workshop) program which was conducted in 120 Tesda institutions nationwide and at the Philippine Automotive Technical Training Center (PATTC) in Makati City.

Over the weekend these mechanics manned the CBS car clinics with simultaneous activities in north Luzon provinces and Metro Manila powered by BCS providing similar vehicle diagnostic and safety checks for motorists with discounted service and car parts through BCS workshop partners along with free labor on diagnostic services: engine, battery, and alternator and emission tests

The Hari ng Talyer project enables the workforce to adapt to global competition through employment promotion. By addressing the growing demand for advanced vehicle services through the courses on diesel fuel injection; automotive electrics and electronics; and engine management, the graduates are sure to deliver world-class quality output.

Crisostomo said the company also helps individuals improve their livelihood the strengthening of the local "talyer", dubbed as Bosch Car Service model workshop, part of the 14,300 garages worldwide.

Crisostomo added the concept of the program is for local talyer owners to get into the program and convert their garages into Bosh service centers, with the company giving all technical and operational support.

The local Bosch Center is located at Legarda Road, which has maintained a reputation of quality and customer service.

Crisostomo said "Baguio has earned the distinct reputation for being one of the country's cleanest and greenest cities. We deemed it appropriate to advocate Bosch clean air initiatives here."

There are 1,989 service centers all over the Asia Pacific with 15 fully operational centers in the country, the bulk of it are situated in northern Luzon.
