Decision on the kind of ballots for youth polls out this week (8:42 a.m.)

THE Commission on Elections (Comelec) will decide within this week the kind of ballots that will be used in the October 25 village and youth elections, a radio report said.

Comelec spokesperson James Jimenez said they will decide whether the pre-printed ballots will be used where the voters only need to shade the corresponding oval of his or her chosen candidate or the manual ballot where the voters need to write the candidate's name.

Jimenez added the pre-printed ballot will possibly be favored. It was the one being used in the last 2010 presidential elections.

He said the village and youth elections need not be automated as transmission and canvassing of results are not needed. (Sunnex)
