DAVAO City's John Eric Accion and Island Garden City of Samal's Christian Fel Lopez settled for runner-up finishes along with two other Team Mindanao bets at the close of the 2010 Milo National Junior Tennis Finals at the Airforce City Tennis Club, Mabalacat, Clark, Pampanga on Sunday.
Accion bowed to National Capital Region's Juaquim Samson in their boys 14 and under titular clash while Lopez lost to Christopher Encarnacion of Cebu City in boys 12-under finals.
In the 10-under unisex finals, Jerico Painagan of Sto. Tomas, Davao del Norte succumbed to Arthur Craig Pantino of Cebu City while Kidapawan netter Jzash Eale Canja was defeated by NCR's Khrizelle Sampaton in girls 14-under championship match.
Alexie Santos of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan captured the girls 12-under crown over Maia Balce, who settled for second place.
Trophies were awarded to the champions and runners-up. The national event served as qualifying for a series of tournaments to be held in Malaysia. (MLSA)
