MANILA -- An ex-convict man runs amok in Talisay Elementary School in Zamboanga City Friday afternoon, killing two pupils and one teacher.

Reports from Philippine National Police (PNP) spokesman Agrimero Cruz disclosed that the suspect, Feli Mateo, entered the school and stabbed the victims using a bolo.

The casualties were identified as Lorna Pulalon, Ces Orpiano and Ruben Flores. Six others were injured in the incident, the police official said.

The suspect was neutralized after angry residents in the area mobbed him. Mateo was detained for rape in 1981 and was released last 2008. (Glaiza Jarloc/Sunnex)
