MANILA -- Government employees affected by the expiration of Memorandum Circular (MC) 2 on October 31 will still have a chance to be retained in current positions.
This after President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III issued a memorandum, through Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa, ordering all department secretaries and heads of agencies in the executive department to submit list of recommendees for possible appointment or reappointment to the Office of the Executive Secretary.
Positions to be affected by the MC 2 are Career Executive Service (CES) posts currently occupied by the non-Career Executive Service Officers (non-Ceso).
The recommendees will be assessed by Ochoa.
More than 1,000 non-Ceso employees are covered by MC 2.
Aquino decided to issue a memorandum in consideration to the non-ceso employees whose posts will be vacated. (Jill Beltran/Sunnex)
