MANILA -- Actress Dimples Romana joined the independent movie industry with her project "Tsardyer".
The film was based on the story of broadcast journalist Ces Drilon when she and her crew were abducted in Sulu.
According to Dimples, though her role was based from Ces' character, she was thrilled to portray a woman struggling for survival.
"I feel very honored, na kung hindi man base sa kanya eh inspired by her, and to act as a very strong woman, malaking bonus na talaga," she said.
"Tsardyer" is one of the seven films that will compete in the 6th Cinema One Originals' Digital Film Festival on November 10 to 16 at Shang Cineplex in Shangri-La Plaza Mall. (Glaiza Jarloc/Sunnex)
