SIXTEEN teachers were taken hostage by an armed group in Agusan del Sur early Saturday.
A radio report said the kidnapping incident took place around 4 a.m. in Barangay La Purisima in Prosperidad town.
The report added the armed men, led by Perez family, demanded for the release of Undo Perez and three others.
The local authorities have formed a crisis management committee for the release of the 16 victims. (Sunnex)
