MANILA -- Five people were killed in a fire that hit a house in Caloocan early morning Sunday, radio and television reports said.
Caloocan City Fire Investigation unit chief SFO4 Randy Resurrecion identified the fatalities as Hilario Espayos, 48; his wife Pinky, 37; and children Beverly, 15; Patrick, 13; and Bryan, 11, all residents of Barangay 185, Malaria, Caloocan.
The fire reportedly started around 2:20 a.m. and lasted for one hour.
Fire investigators said the fire started at the house of the Resurrecions, but the cause is not yet known.
The victims were trapped inside the house, investigators added. (Sunnex)
