ZAMBOANGA CITY -- Two Abu Sayyaf bandits were killed while two soldiers were wounded in a clash in the hinterlands of Basilan, a military official said Sunday.
Special Operations Task Force-Basilan (SOTF-B) commander Colonel Alex Macario said the clash took place around 6:20 a.m. Sunday in the village of Etub-Etub, Sumisip municipality.
Macario said the clash ensued when the troops who were tracking down a group of Abu Sayyaf bandits stormed a bandit lair in the village of Etub-Etub, Sumisip. (Bong Garcia/Sunnex)
