Ang BIR nagkanayon nga si Daiana wala mibayad og buhis gikan 2007 ngadto 2009.
Si Daiana usa ka Brazilian actress, model and TV host, nga nagpuyo na dinhi sukad 2007.
“Based from available documents gathered by the BIR, Ms. Menezes received a total taxable income of P2,659,668.10 in 2007 to 2009 from various sources including Baliwag Lechon Manok, Inc., TAPE, Inc. and GMA Network but failed to pay any tax,” pahayag sa BIR.
Sumala pa nga ang bayrunon ni Daiana miabot ngadto sa P983,658.07 nga nagpatong-patong na, apil ang surcharges ug interest sud sa pipila ka tuig.
Dugang sa BIR, ang aktres nagpa-rehistro kanila aron makakuha og Taxpayer Identification Number isip kabahin sa iyang rekisitos sa tanang aplikasyon sa government permit, license, clearance, official paper ug dokumento.
“Under such registration, her tax type is ‘not taxable,’ which will show the willfulness of her act of evading payment of taxes,” sa BIR.
“By reason of her deliberate and repeated non-declaration of revenues or income for taxable years 2007 to 2009 and her failure to pay the income taxes and percentage taxes due thereon, Ms. Menezes failed to pay the correct amount of taxes which resulted in the deprivation of taxes due to the government,” dugang nila.
Ang kaso sa TV host maoy ika-38 nga napasaka ilawom sa Run After Tax Evaders(RATE) program sa BIR ilawom sa paggiya ni Commissioner Kim Jacinto-Henares.

"The issue about my taxes is being addressed and I have been paying my taxes religiously. In fact, I am bound to pay before the April 15 deadline. I may be Brazilian -- but as someone working here in the Philippines, I am always respectful of its laws and policies," ni Daiana.
