JUVENILE Justice Law needs amendment and suspends some of the provisions that hinder the deliverance of justice, said Senator Francis Escudero.
"There is a need for a strong intervention program for children in conflict with the law and it is high time now that we discuss the existing legislation," said Escudero in an emailed statement to Sun.Star Cagayan de Oro.
Escudero's statement came in reaction to the dropping of charges against minors involved in the recent Agusan del Sur hostage-taking incident where 15 people were taken hostage. (Annabelle L. Ricalde)
