GOVERNMENT troops arrested a communist rebel in Masbate province early Wednesday.
A radio report said the 9th Infantry Battalion of the Philippine Army arrested Supronio Larido, 37, of Aroroy town around 1:45 a.m.
The suspect, a New People's Army member, was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest in his house.
Authorities recovered one .45 caliber pistol, one baby armalite rifle and bullets from the suspect. (Sunnex)
