AT LEAST 19 people were injured when a bus they were riding crashed in Mindoro Oriental province after sustaining a flat tire early Wednesday.
A radio report said the Ceres Bus (DXU-921) crashed around 3:30 a.m. as it was negotiating a curve in Barangay Lumangbayan, Calapan City.
The report said 39 passengers were onboard the bus.
Of the number, 19 sustained injuries and were brought to Maria Estrella Hospital but only four remained as of Wednesday morning.
The bus came from Iloilo and was headed for Manila at the time of the accident.
The bus driver, initially identified as Darly Dave Lim, reportedly surrendered to authorities after the incident. (Sunnex)
