5 hurt in Rizal chopper emergency landing

FIVE members of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) were injured when the chopper they were on-board made an emergency landing in Taytay town in Rizal province Wednesday morning.

The Air Force chopper with body number 22662 made an emergency landing on a vacant lot in Daan Putol, Barangay San Isidro at 10:10 a.m.

Rizal provincial police chief Senior Superintendent Manuel Prieto said all the passengers who are members of the PAF sustained minor injuries.

He identified them as pilot Lieutenant Colonel Robert Bitas, co-pilot Lieutenant Paul Yu, Air Cost Control Elias Alinday, Sergeants Ruel Realin and Edmund Cubillan.

The chopper, meanwhile, incurred major damage.

The Air Force clarified the helicopter did not crash in Rizal but only made an emergency landing.
