GIPAHALIPAYAN sa konseho sa dakbayan sa Naga, Cebu ang Arsobispo sa Sugbo Jose Palma nunot sa iyang pagkapili nga bag-ong presidente sa Catholics Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP).
Sa usa ka resolusyon, si Konsehal Rizalino N. Cruz nipahalipay ni Palma ug gisuportahan sa tanang mga sakop sa konseho.
Matod ni Cruz, angayang pahalipayan si Palma tungod sa dakong garbo sa Archdiocese sa Sugbo nga siya natudlo sa labing taas nga posisyon sa CBCP.
Matod ni Cruz nga si Bishop Palma bisan sa iyang unom pa ka buwan nga pagduma sa archdiocese, nakadawat kini og makabuhong nga suporta ug pagpangga sa mga Sugbuanon.
“…during his six months stint as Archbishop of Cebu, Most Rev. Palma has rightfully earned the respect and admiration of Cebuano clergy and lay people alike, as a highly independent, fair, amiable and hands-on Spiritual Leader of the Catholic faithful – traits that are essential as he takes upon the responsibilities as servant leader of the Philippine Catholic hierarchy as well as in fostering renewed cooperation with the Philippine Government on matters that will promote the common good of the Filipino people,” tipik sa resolusyon ni Cruz.
Nidugang ang konsehal nga ang katawhan sa Naga nihangop ug nakig-ambit sa dungog nga naangkon sa Archdiocese sa Sugbo.
Mosugod siya sa katungdanan sa Disyembre 1 ning tuiga alang sa duha ka tuig ga termino sa CBCP.
