MANILA -- The House of Representatives Tuesday afternoon approved a resolution congratulating Miss Universe 2011 third runner-up Shamcey Supsup for her accomplishment.
The resolution stated that the beauty queen is the “true embodiment of the Filipino women with poise, character, beauty and wit.”
Shamcey was escorted in the plenary hall by Ilocos Norte Representative Rodolfo Farinas and South Cotabato and General Santos City Representative Pedro Acharon Jr.
“She said she was humbled by the honor given to her by the House,” Farinas shared.
The plenary session was suspended for a few minutes to allow congressmen and House staff to take photos with Shamcey. (Kathrina Alvarez/Sunnex)
