Ceneco conducts info campaign in DSB

THE Central Negros Electric Cooperative (Ceneco), through its Murcia field office, conducted “Alagaran sa Barangay” to about 200 residents of Barangay Bunga in Don Salvador Benedicto town recently.

In a press statement, Ceneco said the activity aims to bring the cooperative to the communities especially to far-flung areas to gather feedbacks and suggestions, answer inquiries from the member electric consumers in the area as well as to introduce its new policies and programs.

Consumer Services Section head Cherish Mae Millevo discussed senior citizen discount, illegal connections, the Read-Bill-Render (RBR) as the new technology for reading electric bills, the new One Bill Policy and systems loss.

This is a response to the concerns mostly raised by consumers like undelivered bills, incorrect bill reading, frequent power interruptions, it added.

To minimize illegal transactions with individuals who claim to be employees of Ceneco and extort money as service fee from the consumers, staff particularly those “disconnectors” were also formally introduced to the residents.

Moreover, to give consumers the satisfaction to its services, Ceneco installed special collection centers at the said barangay as wells as at the Municipal Hall of the town to cater bill payments, the press release added. (PR)
