Liberal Party bet pushes for graft-free town

STA. ANA -- A Liberty Party (LP) mayoralty bet here is pushing for a graft-free Municipal Government should he be elected after May 2013 elections.

Dennis Pangan, a practicing lawyer and an administration party candidate, disclosed in his Facebook account that he decided to run for mayor to bring back the old glory, which the municipality of Sta. Ana lost under the current leadership.

He said he is advocating a crusade for change to provide hope and opportunity to marginalized residents and sectors, in order for them to get the kind of government they deserve.

In an earlier interview, Pangan told Sun.Star Pampanga that he has supported the past candidacy of incumbent Mayor Rommel Concepcion.

However, he noted that for more than six years in office as mayor, Concepcion failed to introduce substantial developments in the town.

This, according to him, is one of the factors that encouraged him to run for mayor.

Others claimed that municipal funds were improperly managed at the expense of the people’s welfare.

Pangan's running-mates are Rolando Lulu (vice mayor), Adelina Bosita, Ramoncito Barro, Dominador Dela Cruz, Arthur Diaz, Vergel Mallari, Maximo Marin, Rodolfo Pecson, and Melbert Sanguyo (councilors).
