Masbad: WordPress living

OPEN source. Easy to learn. Un-intimidating. Easy to setup. Several ways of how I can describe Wordpress as a content management system (CMS). I see it as a platform as well. And I see it as something that you can build on when you have your own website. It used to be that Wordpress was mainly used for blog sites back in the day but, fortunately, thing evolved. Currently, Wordpress is being used as the backbone of an entire website. It’s being used as the platform itself to build the website. I attribute that to it’s easy-to-maintain, easy-to-upgrade-and-update ability.

WordPress has grown in popularity in leaps and bounds over the last decade. Check out that trend chart below from Google Trends.

Given that kind of popularity, it’s no surprise really that a lot of people are into WordPress development, deployment, maintenance and other involvements. But the bottomline here is that there’s money to be earned from WordPress. It’s either you write codes to develop themes for WordPress or you become a website developer using WordPress as your system or platform.

Still not convinced how prevalent WordPress is? Check out this website and see how it fares to other CMS.

So… how, then, can you make a living out of WordPress?
