CanCham to mount third trade mission

FOLLOWING the success of its outbound trade missions to Canada since last year, the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines (CanCham) is now preparing its third outbound mission.

The trade mission, which is set on Oct. 18 to 25 in Toronto and Ottawa, is meant to further expand business, identity, and establish traction in the Canadian market said CanCham president Julian Payne.

It is also aimed at owners and senior executives of Philippine companies, including the small and medium enterprises.

According to Payne, they have interested participants in the ICT sector, seeking growth opportunities in animation, game development, IT mobile applications, and software development, IT supoort and services, and emerging sectors such as automotive, construction, research and development.

“The main focus of the trade mission is ICT. However, it is also open to participants interested in education and training, looking for ways on how to internationally bridge the gap to partnerships with accreditations with recognized Canadian schools and institutions,” said Payne in a statement.

A briefing for interested participants from Cebu is slated on Sept. 4 at CanCham’s office in FGU Center, Cebu Business Park.
