TEAM PNoy will observe a ceasefire during the Holy Week and would not retaliate even if attacked by members of the United Nationalist Alliance (UNA).
Both parties will take a one-week break for the observance of the Holy Week. Both parties will hit the road again on March 31 (Easter Sunday).
"Magandang pagkakataon na magnilay-nilay ang lahat upang gayon ay maitaas ang antas ng debate sa halalang ito," Senator Francis Escudero, a reelectionist candidate under Team PNoy, said.
Escudero said he will spend the Holy Week in his home town in Sorsogon.
Aurora Representative Sonny Angara, also a Team PNoy senatorial candidate supports the party's observance of a holiday ceasefire.
"This Lenten season and perhaps even beyond, in keeping with the spirit of Lent, we hope all sides can observe a ceasefire on political mudslinging," Angara said.
