RC Balibago gets awards in Rotary Year End Review

GOOD works have paid off for members and officers of the Rotary Club of Balibago, as their club managed to get major awards in the recent Rotary International District 3790 Year End Review at the Lakeshore with Gov. Antonio Bautista leading the awards ceremonies.

The club is among the dozens of Rotary Clubs honored in the recent event that aims to cascade best practices in socio-civic programs. The Year End Review is an annual event aimed at evaluating the performance of various Rotary Clubs in Pampanga. The clubs are evaluated based on the performance of their social service programs and in compliance of the objectives and initiatives of Rotary International for a given year.

The event also aims to evaluate the performance of various Rotary Clubs not only in Pampanga but in the entire District 3790 covering 11 provinces with more the 100 rotary clubs. The clubs are evaluated based on the performance of their social service programs and in compliance of the objectives and initiatives of Rotary International.

The Rotary Club of Balibago was awarded as among the Top Clubs with Highest Capital Contribution, Biggest Delegation in District Event, and Top Club with Highest Contribution to TRF Annual Fund, among others.

The following members also received their pins and certificates for contributing to the Rotary Foundation though its Paul Harris Fellows (PHF) program, namely Leah Bais Phf ($1,000), Sec. Rean Bernarte Phf($1,000), IP Alvin Mallari Phf($ 1,000), PN Earl Pecson Phf ($1,000), Pres Lito Mercado Phf+1 ($2,000), IPP Herman Sumadchat Phf ($1,000) and CP Roger Santos Phf+2 ($3,000).

Rotary Club of Balibago founder, Charter President Roger Santos, was also awarded as one of the Most Outstanding Rotarians of the District for this year.

Club President Joselito Mercado said that the awards will continuously inspire their members to do more in terms of socio-civic programs for their respective target communities.

The club is famous for hosting a series of medical missions, feeding programs, livelihood trainings and pro-environment activities as among its year-long activities. The group has existing tie-ups with Tesda and other non-government organizations and government line agencies.
