IN ORDER to be within the reach of homeowners and customers in the northern part of Cebu City and neighboring areas, Savers Depot opened in Talamban last June 23, 2013.

“Talamban is strategically located near residential areas,” Kendrick Sulay, Savers Depot president and chief executive officer, said.

Talamban is where their household market is situated and it is also home to growing subdivisions and villages.

Savers Depot is a husband-and-wife business venture. It opened its first store in North Reclamation Area, Mandaue City last 2009. Now, they’ve grown to four branches and are eyeing on more stores in the years to come.

This expansion is due to the company’s growth as well as the booming construction industry in Cebu. Their retail sales are also increasing and recorded a double-digit growth.

Sulay admits that they are planning to open at least one branch every year. They are also thinking of expanding outside of Cebu next year. By 2018, Savers Depot is looking forward to having 12 branches across the Visayas and Mindanao area.

Savers Depot’s Talamban branch has an area of 3, 000 square meters and houses more than 100 top brands of home and construction supplies. Such variety provides homeowners a lot of options for their basic home needs.

What gives Savers Depot edge over competitors is that their locations are convenient and that they have quality and reasonably-priced products. Savers Depot is also proud of being a home-grown Cebuano brand. (ADO)
