Gueco: Healing

BOOSTING our life is the art of healing.

Renewing and reenergizing our mind, heart and spirit, we yearn for recovery, especially, in cases of illness or accident.

“O loving Goddess, guide us on the path of recovery. We call on your greatness, goodwill and gushing compassion.” Voicing this ardent prayer plea, we look at the azure heavens for rejuvenation.

Angeles City

Focusing our attention on local events, may I share this good news. Herein is their message: “A 48-foot steel container from World Medical Relief Inc. arrived during the City Hall’s Monday flag raising rites holding 20-million-pesos worth of medical equipments and supplies for the Rafael Lazatin Memorial Medical Center (RLMMC) formerly known as the Ospital ning Angeles (ONA).

Dr. David Zarate and Atty. Nick Moldez of WMRI-Philippines turned over the said hospital equipments to Mayor Edgardo Pamintuan, the second major donation from the US-based organization to the mayor in his current term.

Pamintuan expressed his gratitude over the donations, saying that he was overwhelmed by the contributions of the WMRI that will surely help the city in improving even further its health care services.

“For the umpteenth time, we have received the support of the WMRI in order to improve our services to our constituents. The equipment, almost amounting to 20-million pesos, will be used in our public hospital and for the establishment of a Coronary Care Unit and an oncology or Cancer Treatment Center,” said the Mayor.

He also added that as long as he is the Mayor, Angeleños can always look forward to advancements in the field of medical and health care.

According to the reports from WMRI, the container holds 2 new dialysis units for the Angeles City Renal Care Unit (AC-RCU), operating tables, dental chairs, cardiac monitor, incubators and ventilators among others.

According to Dr. Zarate, this donation is a “phenomenal development” in the field of health care in the city as the Angeleños wouldn’t have to go far as Manila in order to find quality health services.

“This is merely the beginning for our partnership with Angeles City. The next step is to help the mayor in realizing his goal of building the said cancer treatment center equipped with a PET Scan and coronary care unit for its public hospital”, assured Zarate.

For his part, Dr. Antonio Dizon, hospital director of the RLMMC, also conveyed his heartfelt appreciation to WMRI for their donation. He said that this was a “step towards ONA to acquire a tertiary hospital status from the Department of Health.”

Thank you to the blessed sponsors!

Today, we thank the Lord for all the blessings. Let healing and love pour on our hearts.
