FOR the apprehension of a notorious robbery hold-up suspect, the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) will recommend to Police Regional Office-Western Visayas the conferment of award to the personnel of Police Station 6 and Senior Police Officer 4 Vicente Duenas, Jr. of the Administration unit.

Guanzon was arrested after he held up Evelyn Lobaton, 56, of Providencia Subdivision, Barangay Alijis, Bacolod City around 6:45 p.m.

Investigation revealed that Lobaton, with her granddaughter, was about to board a Nissan Frontier vehicle, the suspect suddenly boarded their car and pointed his butcher’s knife on Lobaton’s neck, and took her bag containing P32,000, ATM cards and two cellular phones.

Guanzon immediately fled going to Save More Libertad but fortunately, the intelligence operatives of Station 6, with Duenas, were in the area and apprehended the suspect at Corner Hernaez-Carmen Streets, Barangay 40, the police said.
