Cordillera PNP cites awardees

CAMP DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet -- The Police Regional Office in Cordillera recognized Monday its outstanding personnel as it celebrates its 112th police service anniversary.

The highlight of the celebration was the presentation of awards and decorations to PNP units and personnel for their outstanding achievements last year.

The achievement awards in the individual category were given to eight Police personnel and non-uniformed personnel namely Senior Superintendent Benjamin Lusad for outstanding performance of duty in police administration (police commissioned officer or PCO level); PO2 Melchor Octaviano for his outstanding performance of duty in police administration (police non-commissioned officer or PNCO level); Superintendent Lambert Suerte for outstanding performance of duty in police operation (PCO level); PO2 Arnel Batac for outstanding performance of duty in police operation (PNCO level); Senior Inspector Angelito Dangli Jr. for outstanding performance of duty in police investigation (PCO level); SPO2 Dino Sagayo for outstanding performance of duty in police investigation (PNCO level); non-uniformed personnel (NUP) Shan-ry Roberts for outstanding performance of duty in the field of general support (supervisory level); and NUP Elizabeth Cedo for outstanding performance of duty in the field of general support (non-supervisory level).

Meanwhile, different police units were also awarded for their accomplishments including the Benguet Provincial Police Office (PPO) for the highest number of arrest of most wanted persons; Abra PPO for the high crime solution efficiency with impact; Apayao PPO for the high crime solution efficiency; and Benguet PPO again for the disaster rescue and relief operations.

Special awards were also given to the following units: Abra PPO; Regional Public Safety Battalion; Regional Intelligence Division; Regional Intelligence Unit-14; Regional Special Operation Task Group-Abra; Special Action Force; and the 503rd Brigade of the Philippine Army for their contribution to the neutralization of private armed groups and in the accounting of firearms during the past national election. Other civilians were also given recognition for their invaluable support to Procor.

Abra Governor Eustaquio Bersamin graced the event as guest speaker.

The celebration's theme is "Serbisyong Makatotohanan, handog ng pulisya sa ating pamayanan." (Rubyloida Bitog)
