A 65-year-old foreigner was found dead in a vacant lot in Pagadian City, the capital of Zamboanga del Sur province, the police reported Saturday.
Angelo Edward Roncari, an American national, and currently residing in Purok Makabibihag, Balangasan village, Pagadian City, was found dead around 6:45 p.m. Thursday.
Pagadian City police officer-in-charge Glenn Macario Dulawan said Roncari’s body, with a caliber .38 revolver tucked in his waist, was found by a concerned citizen who immediately reported to them.
Investigation revealed that Roncari left his residence around 10 a.m. last Monday upset, Dulawan said.
Roncari failed to return home until his dead body was found, Dulawan added.
Dulawan said based on the result of the autopsy that the American died of a heart attack.
He, however, did not disclose whether Roncari has a Filipino wife or he is living alone in Pagadian City.
