Rehab facility opens in Mandaue

A NEW treatment center for persons suffering from alcohol and drug addiction recently opened in Mandaue City.

180 Degrees Inc. offers professional and compassionate care for alcohol and drug dependents while helping each individual attain the physical, emotional, spiritual and social tools to make that turnaround to recovery.

The 180 Degrees team is composed of certified psychologists and psychotherapists, a medical doctor who specializes in internal medicine and Department of Health-accredited after-care facilitators.

180 Degrees is guided by the philosophy that alcohol and drug addiction is a progressive illness, whose treatment involves family participation, education and ongoing support.

Healing

“We believe that substance abuse treatment is about hope and healing, about helping drug and alcohol dependents and their loved ones rediscover life as it ought to be lived,” said 180 Degrees in a statement. “Our mission is to help clients rediscover the self-esteem and self-control necessary for long-term sober living.”

The center offers various treatment programs, including the in-patient program that lasts for about six months and involves counselling, education, family therapy and education, anger management and psycho-spirituality sessions.

It also offers intensive out-patient care; multi-family therapy; family program; and continuing care and alumni program.

The continuing care and alumni program is offered at no cost and is meant to support those who have completed the intensive in-patient and intensive out-patient programs.

It focuses on relapse prevention by providing graduates the important support they need to make the transition to a substance-free lifestyle and successful return to the family, school, work and the community.

The center has 24-hour security personnel to ensure the safety of patients seven days a week.
