GOVERNOR Lilia Pineda has launched a series of blockbuster projects and advocacies which are the rave of local residents.
Among these are projects for health, education, public infrastructure, agriculture, and programs for the youth, senior citizens, anti-flood, and tourism.
“Now in the blueprint stage is her plan to help aging legitimate workers in media. Bulacan is the first province that succeeded in institutionalizing an amelioration fund for media workers in their twilight years,” this was learned from Pampanga media leader Bong Lacson who is not yet a senior citizen.
If and when the Nanay realizes this unprecedented and remarkable project for the press, it will form part of her indelible legacy as the best governor Pampanga ever had.
By helping the aging media workers in whatever modest means practical, the Governor will in turn reap the newspapermen’s and writers’ gratitude. She will also inspire the recipients to continue striving for excellence and integrity in their profession while promoting and advancing the interests and worthwhile causes of the province and its officials. By their writings and reportage, the veteran newsmen will be writing the history of the province.
Above all, the press, acknowledged as the Fourth Estate is an essential partner of provincial development. Our liberty and freedom depend on the vigilance and courage of the media workers. In their old age, they deserve the moral and material support to keep them active and productive.
By taking up the cause of the aging media workers, Nanay has shown a different and novel perspective to her kindly and loveable nature. We hope the good Board Members will make her dream come true.

Roxas has been perceived as a stumbling block to the full development of Clark International Airport to alternative world class gateway to the country. That explains his dismal people’s support to his expected candidacy.
As DoTC secretary Roxas went through the motion of helping development efforts at the Clark airport. So does his successor and fellow Liberal Party stalwart, DoTC Sec. Abaya who similarly made extravagant promises (as did Roxas) to the full expansion plans for CIA.
Businessman Perto Cruz is asking the whereabouts of the P1 Billion for Clark, loaned from the bank.
Roxas’s chief 20l6 rival, Vice Pres. Binay is leading him in opinion surveys in the province where most local executives are Binay’s secret supporters. After visiting and giving relief goods to flood victims in Candaba, the VP went to meet and helped landslide victims of San Juan Baño, Arayat.

Adding new fuel in igniting Binay’s acceptability to Pampangos is the current negotiations between the provincialgovernment and the Pag-IBIG (HDMF) in acquiring hundreds of foreclosed housing units from Xevera projects for resale to government personnel by easy amortization.
As Pag-IBIG Fund Chair, VP Binay can exploit this tie-up with the provincial government to his political advantage, with thousands of house-renting government employees hoping for the deal to succeed with the support of the Vice President.
