BACOLOD City Councilor Sonya Verdeflor has a resolution enjoining the support, participation, and cooperation of all agencies, offices, and stakeholders of the Local Food Industry of Bacolod City and the Province of Negros Occidental in the forthcoming Food Safety Management Awareness seminar of the Association of Negros Producers on October 30.
This was passed by the City Council on Wednesday.
She said the Association of Negros Producers will be conducting another run of Food Safety Management Awareness Seminar on October 30 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Governor’s Hall, Provincial Capitol Building in Bacolod City.
The seminar will provide a unique opportunity to instill food safety system among food service establishments and food processors. Said activity will present Implementing Food Safety Management Systems, Handwashing Exercise, Cross Contamination Exercise, Food Preparation and Video Presentations on Causes of Food Borne Illnesses, among others.
The state of our local food industry is vital to the health of the community. Understanding food safety underscores the need to be conscious in the preparation and handling of food for the general public.
