THE University of the Visayas Baby Lancers will embark on another tough trial, this time against league-leader and the defending champion Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu Magis Eagles in the semifinal round of the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. high school division at the Cebu Coliseum.

In the main game, the-well rested University of San Carlos Warriors (7-1) will come off a nine-day rest when they play the Cebu Institute of Technology-University Wildcats (4-6) at 6:45 p.m.

CIT-U need to win badly as it is trying to catch the last ticket to the Final Four against the University of San Jose-Recoletos Jaguars, who is now a game ahead.

USJ-R defeated defending champions Southwestern University Cobras, 68-63, in overtime last Sunday putting the Jaguars in a better position to nab the fourth slot to the semis.

Barely 48 hours after they eliminated the higher-ranked USJ-R Baby Jaguars last Sunday, the Baby Lancer will see action against the well-prepared and well-rested Magis Eagles, who finished the elimination round unbeaten to get an automatic semifinal slot.
