Top law firm opens office at Abreeza center

BM&V Law Firm, described by many knowledgeable quarters as one of Davao's emerging regional leaders in the legal profession, turned 15 last month.

On the occasion of its crystal anniversary, the firm, composed of Ramon Edison C. Batacan, past president of Davao City's Integrated Bar of the Philippines chapter and governor of the IBP for eastern Mindanao, Vincent Paul L. Montejo and Perla E. Vicencio, inaugurated its stylish new office at the 7th floor of the Abreeza Corporate Center on J.P. Laurel Avenue.

This happened last October 18. No less than Davao Archbishop Romulo Valles officiated the blessing of the office. It was also Archbishop Valles, then still a young bishop, who blessed the firm's previous office on the 7th floor of Landco Building.

Food, simply overflowing, was served in two stages during the inauguration-cum-anniversary bash. First as merienda immediately after the sprinkling of holy water and tour of the stylish office and later, as dinner for the VIPs, strategic partners, valued clients and the tardy well-wishers who included classmates and friends way back when they were not yet judges or important government factotums.

The law firm has a track record in close to 20 areas of legal practice including banking, construction and engineering, corporate rehabilitation, commercial transactions and instruments, energy, oil and gas, environment, family law, immigration, intellectual property, labor, legislative (legal advocacy), litigation, mining, tax, water, project finance and mortgages.
