PFF-Smart Club Championships at Panaad Stadium on Dec. 9-21

Panaad Park and Stadium in Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City will again serve as the main playing pitch for the 2013 PFF Smart National Club Championship on December 9 to 21 after its successful hosting of 2013 Philippine Peace Cup in October participated in by Chinese Taipei, Pakistan and Phl Azkals.

Cyril Dofitas, PFF Tournament Committee head, and Pauline Javelona of the Negros Occidental Football Association (NOFA) confirmed this development.

December 9-13 is set for the Final Qualifying Round; December 15-18 the Semi Finals (home and away format); and December 19-21, 2013 – Finals (home and away format).

Negrenses and Bacolodnons will get another chance to witness a highly-competitive football tournament featuring 10 clubs from all over the country. Football fans will again root and cheer for defending champion NOFA - Ceres FC.

Challenging the host club are BSU FC - Baguio City of Benguet FA, CBSUA FC of Naga City-Cam Sur FA, Del Monte FC of Bukidnon FA, Columbia FC of Davao FA, M'lang FC of North Cotabato FA, Alia FC of Zamboanga FA, Palawan FC of Palawan FA, and Flame United Cherifer FC of Cavite FA.

The tenth and final national qualifier is a toss up between Global FC of Leyte FA and Cebu Queen City United FC of Cebu FA.

Ceres FC, which swept Group F against Camella-Barotac Nuevo FC of Iloilo and Negros Oriental FA, will have a huge advantage playing at home.

Defending the title are keepers Korean Hyoun Jaehun and Louie Michael Casas; defenders Geunh Yeong Park and Hyungmin Sim, also from South Korea; Angelo Marasigan, Jason Cordova, Camelo Tacusalme, Anthony Tongson, Jalsor Soriano, Lemuel Unabia, Richard Ruiz Sumabong, Jimmy Malalo-an Jr., John Timothy Bolo and Jose Emmanuel Thomas Diel.

Midfielders are Olapido Babasola Okunaiya from United Kingdom, Jayson Panhay, Hanesin Prince Antony, Carlo Tacusalme, Joel Bedia Jr., Rolando Ian Treyes and J Baguioro; Byeong Jun Yoon, ‘best midfielder’ Joshua Beloya, Jaime Poderoso and Jimuel Ariola.

Joining Coach Go is assistant mentor Cha Soung Yooung from South Korea and physical therapist Augustine Rey Rivas. Team manager is Leo Rey Yanson.
