Ibex Davao to serve 6 more international clients

IBEX Global Solutions, the newest player in Davao City's booming Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry, will be servicing six more international accounts starting next month.

Brian Hiener, vice president for operations of Ibex Global Philippines, announced this during the formal inauguration of its Davao branch, being the first of its provincial expansion, at the SM Lanang Premier on Saturday.

He said telecommunication companies are among their fastest growing accounts since they started their operations in October 2013.

More than 500 agents, mostly from Davao, have been hired, but Hiener said the BPO firm is hiring 300 to 400 more experienced agents in the coming months.

Resi G. Cayabyab, Ibex Davao site director, said they already have five more accounts centered on telecommunication, healthcare insurance, and financial accounts, all these are but big companies in US.

"We just started less than a month but we are number 1 in telecommunications and Davao is number 1 against 50 other sites all over the world. All the programs I have are in good competition with other sites all over the world," he said.

In a press briefer, it said Davao City was chosen as the next location because of the pool of local talents who are as adept in English communication as those in other regions.

Cayabyab has also a rosy forecast for the BPO industry in the city, saying it is where businesses are heading to and that they need to hire over a thousand in all for Ibex Davao as the competition is getting tighter.

"We're also checking around for new spaces in the city, but priority is to be here at least," he said of the possible expansion of their operation here.

Ibex Davao is housed at the third floor of SM Lanang Premier, with a total floor area of 3,600 square meters.

"Strategic for us to be in SM, it's a premiere location and we wanted our employees to feel that they are in premiere company as well," he said.

Ibex Global is also present in US, United Kingdom, Senegal in West Africa, Brazil, and Pakistan.

The company has three facilities in the Manila, the first being in Ortigas. Another Ibex facility is also slated to open by January 2014 in Paranaque City.
