Sta. Ana students, sectors get 45OT in financial aid

STA. ANA -- Mayor Rommel Concepcion on Monday led the distribution of financial assistance to this town’s public school teachers, senior citizens and students as part of the municipal government’s assistance program to various sectors.

Concepcion gave P100,000 to the Senior Citizen’s Chapter of Sta. Ana town. The program of assistance to the local elderly was started under the term of former 3rd District Rep. Aurelio "Dong" Gonzales Jr., and is now being continued by Concepcion.

Another P100,000 was also awarded to the Public School Teachers of Sta. Ana for their regular development programs and support for their various activities in the town.

Concepcion also led the distribution of scholarship assistance to 86 and 78 indigent students in college and high school, under the Municipal Government's education assistance program.

"This assistance, though small, aims to give parents and students the necessary support to finish their studies. The funds would help in some expenses and I believe would be a great help in a time when money is hard to come by," Concepcion said.

College and high school students received P2,000 and P1,000 cash assistance, respectively.
